Frequently Asked Questions

What is hypnosis?

Hypnosis is a state of deep, focused relaxation. During this state, I will provide suggestions to your subconscious mind based on our discussion. It is similar to guided meditation, but specifically tailored to address your individual needs and goals.

Is hypnosis safe?

Hypnosis is generally considered safe and is used by some medical professionals as part of treatment plans for various conditions. It involves a process of focused relaxation and is conducted with careful attention to your well-being.

However, hypnosis may not be appropriate for individuals with severe mental health conditions, such as serious psychiatric disorders. It is important to consult with your healthcare provider before starting hypnosis if you have any major medical or psychological concerns. This ensures that hypnosis is a suitable option for your specific needs and circumstances.

Your safety and well-being is my primary concern, and I am committed to providing a professional and supportive experience. Always seek medical advice to confirm that hypnosis aligns with your overall health care plan.

Will I get stuck in hypnosis?

No, you cannot get stuck in hypnosis. You are in complete control throughout the entire process. Hypnosis is a relaxed state of focused attention where you remain aware and capable of making your own decisions. If at any point you feel the need to end the session or shift focus, you can easily do so. Your safety and comfort are my top priorities, and I aim to ensure that hypnosis is a positive and empowering experience for you.

What if I can't be hypnotized?

A helpful approach before booking a session is to consider these three questions. If you answer "yes" to all of them, you are likely well-positioned to benefit from hypnosis.

  1. Am I open to the potential benefits of hypnosis?

  2. Am I dedicated to addressing and transforming the issue that has led me here?

  3. Am I willing to follow the guidance provided by my hypnotist?

Remember, hypnosis is about accessing and harnessing your own thoughts and beliefs within your subconscious mind. It’s a process of gaining greater control over your mental processes.

Can I be hypnotized to do something I do not want to do? (e.g.. the way the stage hypnotists make volunteers dance and sing)

No, hypnosis cannot make you do anything that you don’t already agree with or want to do.

Stage hypnotists often use suggestibility tests to identify individuals who are more open to participating. They select those who respond strongly to these tests, which is why the behavior you see on stage is often enthusiastic and playful. These participants are typically very open to the experience and are simply embracing the suggestions given to them.

Am I sleeping during hypnosis?

No, you are not asleep during hypnosis. You remain fully awake and aware, and you can communicate with me throughout the process.

While some individuals may reach a deeper state of hypnosis where they might not recall every detail afterward, they are still capable of responding to my questions and guidance during the session.

What happens in a session?

We begin with a discussion to understand the reasons for your visit and to tailor a plan that addresses your specific needs and goals. During the session, you will relax and follow my voice and guidance. It is common to feel both relaxed and revitalized upon emerging from hypnosis. As you progress with each session, you will find that entering hypnosis becomes easier and more intuitive.

How many sessions will I need?

The number of sessions required can vary based on individual factors such as readiness to address the issue, the severity of the concern, and commitment to change.

It's common to notice initial improvements after a single session, but for sustained and impactful results, most people benefit from 3-4 sessions. Some clients decide to extend their sessions to delve into other aspects of their lives.

For those focusing on overcoming fears or enhancing self-control, a minimum of 2 sessions is advised to obtain meaningful progress.

What are the fees for sessions?

The fee is $80 per hour for hypnosis. Session durations can be found next to each session title under Services. For new clients, the initial intake session is 30 minutes longer to allow us to gather the necessary information for your client file. This additional time also gives us the opportunity to get to know each other and understand your journey up to this point.
